With over 20 years of experience in the trucking industry, Ackras knew firsthand the challenges of finding safe, reliable, and welcoming places to stop. He dreamed of creating a truck park that would feel like a home away from home for drivers. Today, PoorMan’s Truck Park is a reality, offering top-notch amenities, friendly service, and a supportive community.

1996

In 1996, PoorMan’s Truck Park was just a vision in the mind of founder Ackras “PoorMan” Njobvu. With with just running a small Barbershop and a big dream, poorman transformed a rundown Barbershop into a humble truck park. With just a few parking spots, a small convenience store, and a single fuel pump, PoorMan’s Truck Park was born. Despite the challenges, Ackras’s dedication and commitment to serving the trucking community shone through, and the park slowly began to attract a loyal following.

2022

Fast forward to today, and PoorMan’s Truck Park is a thriving community that’s become a beacon for truckers on the road. With expanded parking, state-of-the-art facilities, and a team of dedicated staff, the park has become a go-to destination for drivers seeking comfort, convenience, and camaraderie. The convenience store has grown into a full-fledged restaurant and bar, serving up delicious meals and cold drinks. The maintenance shop has expanded to offer a range of services, from routine maintenance to complex repairs. And the community has grown, with regular events, contests, and fundraisers that bring drivers together.

1. _Acceptance_: By using PoorMan’s Truck Park facilities, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

2. _Payment_: Payment is due upon arrival. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile money.

3. _Cancellations_: See our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

4. _Parking_: Parking is at your own risk. PoorMan’s Truck Park is not liable for damage or loss to vehicles or contents.

5. _Security_: PoorMan’s Truck Park has 24/7 security. However, we recommend that you take necessary precautions to secure your vehicle and contents.

6. _Facilities_: PoorMan’s Truck Park provides basic amenities, including toilets, showers, and water. We strive to maintain cleanliness and functionality.

7. _Noise and Nuisance_: Excessive noise or nuisance behavior will not be tolerated.

8. _Waste Disposal_: Properly dispose of waste in designated areas.

9. _Vehicle Maintenance_: No vehicle maintenance or repairs are allowed within the park.

10. _Liability_: PoorMan’s Truck Park is not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries incurred within the park.

11. _Governing Law_: These Terms and Conditions are governed by Zambian law.

12. _Changes_: PoorMan’s Truck Park reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions without notice.

Refund and Cancellation Policy at PoorMan’s Truck Park_

At PoorMan’s Truck Park, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we strive to provide a fair and transparent refund and cancellation policy.

_Refund Policy:_

– Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days.
– Refunds will be issued in the original payment method.
– Refunds are subject to a processing fee of 10% of the total booking amount.

_Cancellation Policy:_

– Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to scheduled arrival to receive a full refund.
– Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to scheduled arrival will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
– No-shows will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

_Early Departure Policy:_

– If you depart earlier than your scheduled departure date, you will not be entitled to a refund for the remaining period.

_Special Circumstances:_

– In the event of extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances, PoorMan’s Truck Park reserves the right to cancel bookings and provide full refunds.

_Exclusions:_

– Refunds and cancellations do not apply to special events, peak season bookings, or group bookings (unless otherwise stated).
